Highlights of September 2018’s Inflation
In September 2018, Indonesia posted the deflation of 0.18% m-m bigger than the deflation of 0.05% m-m in August 2018. The trend of September 2018’s deflation was an anomaly because Indonesia consistently posted the inflation in September since 2014. Based on the latest inflation trend, on a cumulative basis, September 2018’s inflation reached 1.94% YTD. Meanwhile, on an annual basis, September 2018’s inflation was at 2.88%, lower than August 2018’s inflation of 3.20%. Indeed, its figures below 3% made it the lowest inflation since August 2016.
